What changed

We keep the full text of every version of our terms and our privacy statement. Below is what changed per version and why, newest first. That way you can always check what you agreed to.

Terms of service version 2.3

Reading back stays. After your trial or your subscription you can keep reading and downloading your journal in the app; what stops is writing and everything your companion does. Article 16.2 and the passage about the end of the trial were widened accordingly, in your favour.
Privacy statement version 2.3

The same widening as in the terms: after your trial or your subscription your journal stays readable and downloadable, only writing and the work of your companion stop. Nothing else changes about what we keep or who we share it with.
Privacy statement version 2.2

Your data is now processed in Frankfurt as well as stored there: the servers that run the app moved from the United States to Germany today. Nothing else changes about what we keep or who we share it with.
Terms of service version 2.1

The buttons are here. Withdrawing, downloading a copy, deleting your account, reviewing your consents and pausing your account are now things you do yourself in the app; the email route stays alongside. Deletion happens within 24 hours instead of 30 days, and after your trial you can still sign in to download or erase your data.
Privacy statement version 2.1

Your rights move from an email to a button: access, a copy, erasure, restriction and withdrawing your consent are handled in the app under Settings → Your data. The erasure deadline moved from 30 days to 24 hours. The privacy@memoto.nl route remains as a fallback.

Fully rewritten to match the app as built and the prices of 31 August (€7.99 a month, €70.99 a year, founders €49 a year and you keep that price). New: the friend programme and coach codes (article 11), what you need in order to use Memoto (2.9), and the complete company details including a phone number.

Revised to match how things actually work: Google Analytics on memoto.nl with a cookie banner and Consent Mode, instead of the bannerless counting described earlier. The cookie table now lists the cookies the site and the app really set.
